An ordinary grid,
on purpose.

Twelve columns, quiet margins, generous air. The grid never performs: the drama belongs to the type and the signal.
01
The grid is the quietest thing we make. It holds the stage steady so that one loud statement and one green ask can do all the talking.
02

Twelve columns.

90px columns on 24px gutters, inside 48px margins on the 1440 canvas. The numbers live in the DS Spacing tokens — the site simply obeys them. Content spans columns; it never floats between them.

One ask
at a time.
Headlines start on the second column and take six; body copy holds four — everything lands on the grid.

The rhythm.

Layout is mostly restraint. Sections breathe by margin, not by decoration — and every page keeps the same pulse.

Sections breathe by margin. 162px between sections on the site — space does the separating, rules stay rare.
One display moment per view. The grid exists to give it room; everything after steps down — see 04 · Typography.
Content spans columns. Headlines start on the second column and take five to seven; body holds its measure at three to four; cards sit on their own tracks.
Cards keep the 20px gap. Grids of cards inherit the gutter logic: even gaps, equal tracks, radius 8.
Never squeeze the margins. When content doesn't fit, cut content — the 48px frame is not negotiable.
